Legend 6 Grandview 5
After 3 innings, Legend was leading Grandview 5 to 4, and in the bottom of the 5th the Wolves pushed across the tying run and made the game go into extra innings. Legend in the top of the 8th pushed across a run, and Grandview was not able to match it in the bottom of the 8th. For Legend; 2019 Colorado-Colorado Spring commit Caleb Stubbings went 1 for 2 with 2 RBI’s and for the Wolves, 2019 Peter Goldy went 1 for 4 with a bomb and 2 RBI’s and 2019 Jayden Martinez went 1 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.
Mountain Vista 4 Smoky Hill 2
After the top half of the game, Smoky Hill was beating Mountain Vista 2 to 1, but in the bottom of the 6th Mountain Vista turned it on and scored 3 runs to win the game 4 to 2. Mountain Vistas’ 2020 Aidan Smith had a great day at the plate going 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s, and on the bump Daytona State College commit 2019 Clay Burke threw 4 innings giving up just 3 hits and 1 run to go along with 8 strike outs. For the Buffalo’s 2019, Ayden Grimble threw 5 2/3 innings allowing just 2 earned runs and 7 strike outs.
Windsor 2 Ponderosa 0
Windsor pitcher Odessa JC commit 2019 Owen Lockner threw a complete game 1 hitter with 1 strike out, and he had a great day at the plate going 2 for 2 with an RBI.
Fossil Ridge 5 Castle View 3
With the game tied at 1 apiece after 3 innings Fossil Ridge to command of the game putting 2 runs up in the top of the 4th inning and added 1 more in the 5th and another in the top of the 7th to win on Thursday. Fossil Ridge was led by 2019 Keaton Sysum 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s and 2020 Thaniel Trumper was on the bump going 7 strong innings allowing 5 hits and 3 runs. For Castle View 2019 Nate Witonsky pitched very well going 6 strong innings allowing just 1 earned run.
McNary OR 8 Arapahoe 6
McNary came out swinging it on Thursday scoring 6 runs in the first 3 innings. Arapahoe battled back scoring 2 in the bottom of the 3rd and added another 4 in the bottom of the 5th but came up short in their game in Arizona. Arapahoe did have some players that did very well, 2019 Jake Hansen went 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s and 2019 Ryan Dieffenbach went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.
ThunderRidge 6 Cherokee Trail 5
Cherokee Trail was winning their game on Thursday 5 to 0 going into the bottom of the 5th inning, and then with the help of some walks and an error, ThunderRidge scored 5 runs to tie the game and then in the bottom of the 7th the Grizzlies were able to push the winning run across. Cherokee Trails 2020 Parker Sandoval went 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s and starting pitcher 2020 Caleb Woltz did a good job and went 4 1/3 innings allowing no hits, 7 strike outs, but did walk 8 batters.
Broomfield 4 Valor 3
In one heck of a game on Thursday, Broomfield game away with the win. With the game tied at 3 after 4 innings Broomfield was able to score in the 5th inning and then hold on in the bottom of the 5th, 6th, and 7th inning for the win. Broomfield pitcher and Regis University commit 2019 Zach Macosko went all 7 innings, allowing just 4 hits, 3 earned runs to go along with 8 strike outs. At the dish for Broomfield 2019 Preston May was 1 for 3 with 1 RBI, 2019 Dru deVera was 1 for 3 with 1 RBI, and 2019 Zachary Boh was 1 for 4 with 1 RBI. For Valor, 2021 Radek Birkholz was 1 for 3 with an RBI, and 2020 Declan Wiesner was 1 for 3 with an RBI.
Mountain View 11 Dakota Ridge 3
Dakota Ridge started out hot scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning, but that was just about it. Mountain View went on to score 2 in the 2nd, 2 in the 3rd and another 6 in the 4th to win on Thursday. Mountain View was led by, 2019 M. Reynolds who went 2 for 4 with a home run and 2020 Isaiah Vega who was 1 for 3 with a bomb and 2 RBI’s.
Regis 12 Covington TN 2
Air Force commit 2020 Bryce Parsons and 2020 Owen Best led the way for Regis in this 10 run game. Bryce Parsons was 1 for 1 with a jack and 3 RBI’s and Owen Best went 1 for 3 with a bomb and 4 RBI’s.
