#2 Bryant HS 5 vs Siloam Springs 0
Bryant took care of business Friday night behind a sharp pitching performance from senior RHP Blaine Knight. He pitched a complete game shutout, allowing just three hits while striking out 9 and walking 1. Knight’s success came from being efficient, attacking the strike zone with his fastball and commanding his slider. He pitched 7 innings on 81 pitches.
Offensively Bryant took advantage of Siloam Springs’ mistakes scoring 5 runs with 3 hits, 7 walks and 3 errors by the Panthers. Junior OF Evan Lee and Senior 3B Jason Hastings led them offensively both had 1 hit 1 RBI, 1 run scored and a walk.
Bryant will head to Florida for their spring break trip, while Siloam Springs will be back in action today as they host Maumelle HS at 2pm.
Grey Fenter
Grey Fenter, RHP from West Memphis HS, is the No. 1 MLB draft prospect from the state. He opened up his season pitching a solid two innings, with a fastball 92-96 mph with a sharp breaking ball and up and down command.
