After the NIC-10 champs from Hononegah scored a run in the top of the ninth to take a 2-1 lead, the never-say-die Eagles rallied for two runs to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
Jacobs tied the game at 2-2 on a crucial Indian miscue. The Golden Eagles won it when no. 9 hitter Matt Hickey’s bunt-single plated Aaron Meciej with the walk-off winner, sending the Eagle contingent soaring into the Huntley twilight.
ST. CHARLES EAST SECTIONAL
