PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?

Anderson: I chose NDSU because it’s a very good school and they have a really good baseball program. I have wanted to play at D-1 school and my goal was to play for NDSU, also very convenient that it was right in my hometown and many of my family and friends will be able to watch me play for 4 more years.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Anderson: I was also considering BSC and Augustana.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?

Anderson: I have known the head coach for years. I played with his son for 3 years. I got to know him pretty well in those years.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?

Anderson: Yes, extremely relieved, although the process was pretty cool seeing how many people had interest in me. It is really nice to know what I will be doing for the next 4 years already.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?

Anderson: Location helped a lot. It is nice to have a good D-1 school right in your own city.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?

Anderson: My dad and my brother have helped a lot. My dad always pushing me to do some camps, lift, and anything that will help reach my goal. My brother helped me with my pitching as he was a pitcher himself. He would show me better ways to throw pitches and it would help a lot.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?

Anderson: I knew it would be a little difficult since I’m not a fan of talking on the phone. Also, I knew at some point I would have to tell colleges I wouldn’t be going to their school, and I wasn’t a big fan of doing that.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?

Anderson: I am not sure, we have not talked about that yet.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?

Anderson: Hitting a home run in my first at bat of Sophomore year a week after my Grandpa had died. That was very special to me.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?

Anderson: I am not sure, I have played a lot of really good players.
