Prep Baseball Report Iowa

PBR Iowa strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.  While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

PBR:  Why did you choose Iowa Western CC?
KASPERBAUER: I chose Iowa Western because of their outstanding success and great coaching staff.

PBR:  What other schools were you considering?
KASPERBAUER: I was also considering South Dakota State and University of Iowa.

PBR:  Where did they first see you? How did your relationship develop with the coaching staff?
KASPERBAUER: They first saw me at a double header against Abraham Lincoln, and we've been in contact ever since. My relationship developed very smoothly with the staff and I'm very excited to be on campus next fall.

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
KASPERBAUER: My brother has had the biggest on me as a baseball player.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have played against or with?
KASPERBAUER: I've played against too many good kids to just list one, so I will give you my top 10. Dan Tillo, Robert Neustrum, Tyler Cropley, Bryce Ball, Kyle Crowl, Brenden Dougherty, Dylan Sears, Devin Porter, Trent Wallace, Joel Thompson.

PBR:  What are your thoughts on the recruiting process? Any advice for younger players who have the desire to play college baseball.
KASPERBAUER: I think the recruiting process is a very good experience that kids should enjoy. I think you should take as many visits as possible and hear coaches out to find the right fit.
