The Class of 2020 State Rankings have been updated and expanded to a Top 25 list.
Atop the list at No. 1 is Kokomo HS right-handed pitcher Charez Butcher. The 6-foot-3, 195 pounder has an electric arm with a fastball that sat 90-93 at the Future Games, touching 94. His delivery is athletic but unrefined. With more refinement and continued development of his arsenal, Butcher has the potential to become one of the top draft prospects in the country in the coming years.
Behind Butcher at No. 2 is Penn HS LHP/OF Ryan Lynch. The Notre Dame commit has a slender, athletic frame at 6-foot-1, 185 pounds working from a quick, 3/4 arm action and shows an athletic delivery with rhythm and flow. His fastball currently tops out at 87, sitting at 83-86 with occasional cutting action. His breaking ball has 11/5 shape at 72-75 and the changeup is 78-79. He displays athleticism in the box and the outfield as well running a 6.77-60 yard dash with a high exit velocity of 90 mph.
One of the risers from this summer is RHP Cole Gilley (Columbus East HS), now ranked No. 3 in Indiana. Gilley is a physical 6-foot-1, 203-pound right-hander with a fastball up to 86. He works at a quick pace with some rhythm and a drop-and-drive delivery. He works across his body and through a clean, high-3/4 arm slot with quickness. His breaking ball has 12/6 break with some depth at 68-72.
No.'s 4-6 are all right-handed pitchers. Brandon Dodson (Martinsville HS) is a 6-feet, 185 pounder that was up to 89 at this year's Future Games, sitting 86-89. He shows quick arm speed with life on the fastball. Casper Clark (Columbus North, IN), is an Indiana recruit with a 6-foot-4, 210-pound frame that stands out on the mound with an easy, repeatable delivery, and a fastball that has been up to 87 mph. Costa Sirounis (Munster HS) is a big, athletic 6-foot-4, 200 pounder that works with smooth rhythm, and a repeatable delivery. His fastball was up to 84 at this summer's Top Prospect Games.
Rounding out the Top 10 are all position players. Outfielder Grant Trinkle (Columbus North HS) is a high-energy player with 6.74 speed, an 89 mph arm from the OF and quick hands at the plate that produces hard hit line drives from gap to gap. Indiana commit SS Cooper Miles (Noblesville HS) possesses athletic defensive actions with soft hands and gap to gap type power from the right-side of the box. Purdue commit SS Bryce Eblin (Center Grove HS) has athletic actions in all facets of the game with a confident approach and easy bat speed from the left side of the plate. Indiana commit 3B Kip Fougerousse (Linton-Stockton HS) boasts a strong frame at 6-foot-3, 205 pounds with present pull-side power (93 mph Exit Velocity)
