Brock Beacham, RHP, Campbell HS, Class of 2016:
Beacham looked to be one of the more projectable pitchers at the Holiday Underclass Showcase. The 6-foot-1, 163-pound right handed pitcher has long arms that create quick and loose arm action. 

Beacham has good rhythm and presence on the mound, showing composure and ability to command three pitches. His fastball sat an easy 75-77 mph, topping at 79-mph.  His change up may have been his best pitch, thrown with fastball arm speed in the 69-71 mph range with late arm side run and down in the zone. Beacham’s breaking ball had 11-to-5 shape and was thrown 59-62-mph. 

As Beacham continues to progress and mature physically, look for a spike in velocity on all of his pitches and a player to watch as he moves through high school.
