A right-handed hitter, Hay showed feel to hit during live batting practice, consistently making hard contact while using the entire field. He hits from a balanced, athletic setup with simple, smooth load, short stride, and fluid rhythm to the swing. As well, he showed quality bat speed with a flat, on-plane path, and flashed potential power at times, driving the baseball with backspin. |
