With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Cincinnati La salle lancers

Team Name: Cincinnati La Salle Lancers
Head Coach: Greg Leurck
Division: I
2018 Record: 10-15
Conference Record: GCL South, 3-6 (3rd)
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 7/6

2019 Team Strengths:

  • Speed
  • Chemistry
  • Defense
  • Experience

Coach Outlook: "There are a lot of players back from a team that struggled some last season. We will be able to contend for a league title in a very tough GCL South."

PBR Outlook: Coach Leurck and the Lancers didn't have the year they were looking for in 2018, but when competing in SW Ohio and in the GCL, those years can happen. Now onto 2019, La Salle once again has talent all over the ball field and should be competitive all year in the always competitive GCL.
