Impact position
*Adam Groesbeck – United States Air Force Academy Outfielder*
The Impact Position is the third part of the swing and it is also where all of your hard work pays off. Within this position, a hitter will put the exclamation point on a great swing or a bad swing. This is obviously the part of the swing that hitters are intentionally working on every day, which is making contact.
However, there are drills that are most definitely underused. One of those drills is this week's tip of the week - Impact: Bottom Hand.
Most hitters are taught to lead with their top hand and while this is mostly true, the bottom hand is extremely important as well. Adam Groesbeck just concluded his senior season at the Air Force Academy. Being a senior and an experienced player, Groesbeck understood the importance of using his bottom hand as he finished his senior season with one of the top batting averages in the county.
You can learn this important skill as well! Take a look at this week's tip with Chris Burke and Prep Baseball Report - Impact: Bottom Hand!
