2016 RHP Chase Kyzer committed to the University of Arkansas Monticello Tuesday afternoon. He was a part of young Cabot Panther team last spring that won the 7A East conference championship advancing to the state tournament. He looks to be one of the staple arms of a very talented team this spring. Kyzer recently competed in the Unsigned Senior Games at Hendrix College on August 29th, below you will find my complete evaluation from that event.
Chase Kyzer, RHP, Cabot HS
Kyzer is a 6-foot 200-pound right-hander with a large frame and an average build. He has repeatable mechanics with limited drive off of his lower half. His arm action has some deception to it. He pitches from an over-the top arm slot with a fastball of 83-85 mph with late life through the strike zone. His fastball plays with more velocity due to a wipe out slider at 75-76 mph with sharp late break. Overall Kyzer is a solid right-hander with a wipe out slider and a deceptive arm action.
