Prep Baseball Report-Kansas held the Central Kansas Summer Trials in Hutchinson, Kansas on Tuesday, July 12. Nearly 30 players in the 2019-2017 classes from the region participated.
Player's profiles have been updated with profile picture, velos, times and videos. We will break down the event position-by-position, taking a look at the infielders performances today. Although, some outfielders may have participated various positions, this is just a look at the infieldperformances. Players are listed in alphabetical order.

Infielders
Robert Bundy, SS, Andover, 2017
Bundy is a 5-foot-11 180-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Kansas’ 2017 class. He ran a 7.27 60 and a 4.51 home-to-first. He has an 86 mph exit velo. At the plate, flashed pull power in batting practice, loose hands with level path through hitting zone, simple and repeatable swing, no wasted movement. On the infield, 78 mph positional velo, over the top release, fluid footwork working with hands and transfer, mostly accuarate throws.
Cole Caraway, 2B, Goddard Eisenhower, 2018
Caraway is a 5-foot-8 160-pound right-handed hitting second-baseman in Kansas’ 2018 class. He ran a 7.05 60, one of the top 60 times of the event, and a 5.42 home-to-first. He has a 73 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced set up, smooth load, hands separate from stride, stays on ball after contact, solid consistent contact gap-to-gap during batting practice. On the infield, 66 mph positional velo, long high three quarters release, gains momentum to first base after catch, moves well to ball, accurate throws.
Harrison Denk, INF, Andale, 2017
Denk is a 5-foot-8 148-pound switch-hitting hitting infielder in Kansas’ 2017 class. He ran a 7.20 60 and a 4.05 home-to-first, one of the top times of the event. He has a left-handed exit velo of 81 mph, and a right-handed exit velo of 85 mph, one of the top of the day. At the plate, gap-to-gap approach from right side, uses middle of the field, short path to contact, feel for the barrel, on the left side, middle-oppo approach, open stance, smooth rhythm, loose hands. On the infield, 76 mph positional velo, athletic a footwork to the ball, plays through the catch, feet in hands in sync during transfer, accurate throws.
Gage Kennedy, SS, Maize South, 2018
Kennedy is a 5-foot-9 150-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Kansas’ 2018 class. He ran a 7.57 60 and a 4.59 home-to-first. He has a 68 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced set up, minimal load, short stride, level path though hitting zone, mostly line drives to the middle of the field during batting practice, hand work inside ball. On the infield, 68 mph positional velo, quick footwork to the ball, field ball in athletic position, ready to throw, plays through the catch with momentum to throw, clean transfer, mostly accurate throws.
Andrew Nuessen, 3B, Goddard Eisenhower, 2018
Nuessen is a 5-foot-11 200-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Kansas’ 2018 class. He ran a 7.78 60 and a 5.09 home-to-first. He has an 83 mph exit velo. At the plate, open stance, smooth rhythm in set up with load, short in-line stride, flashed power to the pull side, solid consistent contact, gap-to-gap approach. On the infield, 64 mph positional velo, over the top release, fluid glove-to-hand transfer with momentum through the catch, mostly accurate throws.
Cody Petersen, SS, Hays, 2019
Petersen is a 5-foot-7 145-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Kansas’ 2019 class. He ran a 7.56 60 and a 4.55 home-to-first. He has a 72 mph exit velo. At the plate, open stance, short stride, swing produced line drives to pull side, repeats. On the infield, 68 mph positional velo, short over the top release, quick transfer with fluid footwork, accurate throws.
Bill Pospisil, 3B, Pomona, 2019
Pospisil is a 5-foot-10 180-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Colorado’s 2019 class. He ran a 7.08 60 and a 4.39 home-to-first. He has an 87 mph exit velo. At the plate, aggressive swing, balanced set up, toe tap, flashed power to pull side, solid consistent contact during batting practice, level bat path. On the infield, 78 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, fluid footwork and transfer, mostly accurate throws.
Nathan Postlethwait, 3B, Andale, 2017
Postlethwait is a 6-foot-4 205-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Kansas’ 2017 class. He ran a 7.70 60 and a 4.48 home-to-first. He has a 90 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced set up, controlled leg lift, level bat path through the zone, solid consistent contact during batting practice to the middle of the field, flashed pull power. On the infield, 76 mph across the infield, 78 mph at 1B, high three quarters release, fields ball in position ready to throw, gains ground to 1B after catch, mostly accurate throws, loose arm action, moves well at 1B, athletic footowork, soft hands.
Gunnar Reiss, 2B, McPherson, 2018
Reiss is a 6-foot 170-pound right-handed hitting second-baseman in Kansas’ 2018 class. He ran a 7.50 60 and a4.38 home-to-first. He has a 78 mph exit velo. At the plate, thin stance, toe tap, open, repeats, swing produced line drives to the middle of the field during batting practice. On the infield, 72 mph positional velo, over the top arm slot, momentum thought he catch, soft hands, moves aggressively to the ball, fluid exchange, accurate throws.
Colten Richardson, 2B, Valley Center, 2018
Richardson is a 5-foot-9 140-pound right-handed hitting second-baseman in Kansas’ 2018 class. He ran a 7.90 60 and 4.53 home-to-first. He has an exit velo of 74 mph. At the plate, starts in a wide stance, minimal load, quiet hands, swing produced mostly middle of the field line drives, body stays under control, loose hands. On the infield, 71 mph positional velo, over the top release, quick catch and throw, accurate throws, quick the ball, soft hands, plays through the catch.
Braden Solko, 3B, Lawrence, 2017
Solko is a 6-foot 185-pound right-handed hitting third-baseman in Kansas’ 2017 class. He ran a 7.59 60 and a 4.45 home-to-first. He has a 78 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced stance, smooth rhythm, repeatable and simple, no wasted movement in hands, level and quick bat path, solid consistent contact to the middle of the field during batting practice. Stewart is a 6-foot-3 170-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas’ 2017 class. He ran a 7.20 60 and a 4.45 home-to-first. He has a 75 mph exit velo. At the plate, tall and thin stance in base, controlled leg lift to stride, bat accelerates, gap-to-gap approach. Zenger is a 6-foot 170-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Kansas’ 2018 class. He ran a 7.65 60 and a 4.56 home-to-first. He has an 84 mph exit velo, one of the top on the day. At the plate, open stance, controlled leg kick, accelerated swing, level though the zone, stays on ball after contact, consistent line drives to the middle of the field. On the infield, 78 mph positional velo, athletic action, fields ball in athletic position, loose arm action with high three quarters slot, quick footwork to the ball, in sync with transfer and throw, mostly accurate throws.
