The Central Arkansas Open Showcase was hosted today at Sticks Baseball Academy, in Little Rock, AR. There was a good mix of 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 players in attendance.  It was a good day, working with a talented players from across the state.

Position Velocity

The position players were led by 2018 OF/LHP Cameron Poston and 2019 OF Alex Cauley throwing the ball 84 mph from the outfield. 2018 CIF Alex Langley led the infielders with 80 mph. See the full list below.

2018 RHP/MIF Ty Johnson put up a 90 mph, with a line drive swing and fast  bat speed.2018 CIF Alex Langley, 2018 CIF Aaron Mann, and 2019 OF Alex Cauley followed with an 89 mph.  Langley and Mann are large framed physical players. Cauley showed fast bat speed with a line drive swing.

Unsigned Seniors

Will Nash a 6-foot 190-pound right-hander worked 84-85 mph from a H ¾ arm slot with a quick arm. He also located his curveball 74-77 mph with late break and 11/5 action. He threw his changeup 79 mph with arm side run.

Nick Alsbrook is 5-8 155-pound MIF/RHP showed a versatile skill set. On the infield he showed solid actions, with a quick release. On the mound he pitched 80-83 with slight run and located his curveball 69-71 mph.
