With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Centerville Elks

Team Name: Centerville Elks

Division: I
2018 Record: 17-10
Conference Record: Greater Western Ohio Conference, 8-4
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 8/6

2019 Team Strengths:

  • Experience
  • Starting Pitching
  • Middle of Lineup

Coach Outlook: "We are excited to return a large amount of kids that have played in big time atmospheres along with back to back District Titles. Our goal each and every year will be to play our best game last with aspirations that it takes place in the last game of the OHSAA season. Obviously these are huge aspirations but are not backing down from the idea that our goal is to compete for and win the OHSAA Division 1 Title. We know this is an incredibly difficult road and look forward to competing against a very demanding schedule that hopefully prepares us to play our best ball during tourney time."

PBR Outlook: The Centerville Elks have the talent and attitude to make a long, long run in Division I in 2019. With the arms and position players, along with the experience gained over the last two seasons of District Titles, lookout for the Elks and coach Jason Whited all year long.
