High School Action: Cary Academy vs Caldwell Academy

The Cary Academy Chargers visited the Caldwell Academy on Thursday for an early season matchup.. Luke Elmore looked strong from the get go for the Eagles on the mound. The Eagles jumped to an early lead over the Cary Academy Chargers putting up 4 runs early. In the 6th inning, walks and errors plagued the Eagles. Cary Academy put up a 6 spot in the 6th inning bringing the score to 6-4.  LHP Asher Lucas kept the Chargers in the game. Cary Academy was able to add a run in the top of the 7th on a 1st and 3rd play. In the bottom of the 7th, Luke Elmore had an RBI single but it wasn't enough for the Eagles to mount a comeback.
