Brebeuf vs Warren Central

Indianapolis—Warren Central hosted Brebeuf and the 11th ranked 2012 right handed pitcher Conner Hale. Hale worked 5 innings and was much better mechanically than in 2011. His velocity was as expected lower than in the previous year. In 2011, Hale was up to 88-90. Warren Central starter was Charlie Dant an unsigned senior with high academics. In 2011, during sectionals Dant was consistently 82-85. Dant plays basketball for Warrant Central and is still working his arm back in shape. He worked two innings giving up one run.
Brebeuf offensively was led by junior third baseman Joey Perkins. Perkins was 2-2 with two walks and one RBI. 2012 Nic Meyers, committed to Franklin, had an RBI single and Conner hale had an RBI single. Warren Central was led by Josh Piercey who smoked a ball up the middle of Hale and also picked up two walks.
Hale worked five innings giving up one run. He worked out of a bases loaded jam but other than that it was a pretty easy outing for Hale. Nic Meyers worked the last two innings striking out three. Meyers displayed a good breaking ball and was able to throw it in any count and on both sides of the plate.
