Roughly 30 college programs turned out to see a pre-event workout for Team Pennsylvania and Team Maryland this afternoon prior to the start of the 2nd Annual Big 26 Class at Metro Bank Park in Harrisburg, PA.

Deon Stafford Jr., an uncommitted catcher from Lower Dauphin HS, stood out during the workout showcasing all of his tools. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound prospect ranked No. 29 in the PA Class of 2014, ran a 6.70 60-yard dash and showcased a 77 mph arm from the crouch with pop times of 1.97-2.03. The 2012 Midwest Future Games participant took an impressive round of batting practice showcasing his power potential by leaving the AA minor league stadium three times on 10 swings.

Other Top Performers:

+ OF Sammy Miller, Susquenannock HS, ran a 6.84 and flashed some power potential driving a pitch off the 385 sign well over the left center field wall.

+ OF David Gulati, Spring Ford HS, ran a 6.68 60-yard dash and flashed a solid throwing arm from the outfield at 82 mph.

+ OF Tanner Forry, Dallastown HS, ran a 6.65 60-yard dash and topped all PA outfield arms with throws of 87 mph.

+ 3B Nick Distasio, Oley Valley HS, showcased an 85 mph from 3B and took one of the most impressive rounds of batting practice on the day. The right-handed hitter drove pitches to all fields and displayed legitimate power potential with a compact swing and excellent extension.

+ RHP/3B Ben Dum flashed signs of his two-way abilities with an 85 mph arm across the diamond and a solid line-drive approach from the left side. The No. 18 ranked prospect in PA's Class of 2015 will take to the hill this evening prior to representing Team Pennsylvania in the Midwest Future Games next weekend at Indiana University.

+ SS/2B Kaylor Kulina ran a 6.80 60-yard dash and showed athletic actions in the infield with a clean, fluid exchange of the baseball.

+ 2B/SS Ted Williams, a Millersville University recruit, ran a 6.95 60-yard dash and topped all middle infield arms with throws of 84 mph across the diamond.

Team Pennsylvania will utilize all nine pitchers for an inning a piece in the first game of the series this evening at 7:05. Game two is scheduled for Saturday at 1:35 with the final game to be contested at 1:35 on Sunday.
