Ashdown Takes Down Horatio 5-2

Ashdown traveled to Horatio on Tuesday for a conference match-up. The Panthers took care of business defeated Horatio 5-2 behind a strong pitching performance and an opportunistic offense.
Ashdown scored 3 runs in the 1st on 1 hit 1 walk and 3 Horatio errors, to jump out front. 2018 RHP Jaden Hill worked a perfect 1st inning, recording 2 strike outs.
In the second, Ashdown was retired quickly. Horatio scratched across a run in the 2nd on 1 hit and 2 walks. 2018 RHP/CIF Wade Beasley scored the run as he reached on a lead-off walk.
The game settled in through the next 3 innings as both teams, were retired quickly. In the 6th Ashdown scored 2 runs to push the lead to 5-1.
Horatio rallied in the bottom of the 7th scoring a run, 2017 RHP Taj Bishop was brought into close the game and finished the game with a score of 5-2.
Ashdown was lead offensively by 2018 Logan Henry, he was 2 for 4 on the day with 2 RBIs. Horatio picked.
2017 INF/RHP Drew Griffin had a solid day for Horatio going 2 for 3 with 2 singles.
2018 RHP Jaden Hill picked up the win for Ashdown, pitching 3 innings allowing just 1 hit, 1 run and 5 strike outs. 2019 LHP Dakota Frachiseur took the loss for Horatio worked 5 innings allowed 0 earned runs, scattering 7 hits and striking out 8.
