The Russellville Cyclones pitch their way to the 6A State Title is the #5 story of 2014. They gave up 1 run during their run through the tournament. They were anchored by three quality right-handers, junior Mark Moyer (University of Central Arkansas) senior Austin Roberts (Crowder) and Jacob Barker (Seminole State). This group was consistent all year and downright dominate for the four game tournament. Barker combined with senior short stop Cody Underhill (Arkansas Tech) to lead a lock down defense and an opportunistic offense. Post season award were not in short supply for this talented group with Mark Moyer receiving All-State Tournament MVP and All State Honors. Cody Underhill was voted All-State, while Jacob barker and Garrett Freemen picked up All State Tournament accolades.
