South-Side Bee Branch brought home their second Class 1A State Championship with the last one coming in 2007. Coach Ty Glover led this group through the tournament with little doubt who would win. In the opening round game they beat Caddo Valley 15-2. The second round was much of the same with another dominate victory beating Norfork 10-0. In the semifinal game they played the defending state champions Taylor and came out victorious winning 7-6. The State Championship match-up with Armorel ended with a final score of 7-3. Mason Duncan and Will Pennington led this group all year, they both were selected for the All-State. What put the over the top with the play of Garrett Collums, Brian Dumas, and Austin Lewis. Garrett Collums was selected as the State Tournament MVP while Brian Dumas and Austin Lewis were selected to the All-State Tournament team.
