Area Code Games: Sunday Notebook

Royals (5) vs. Rangers (7)
2022 RHP J.R. Ritchie (Bainbridge HS, WA) struck out three and allowed two hits in two innings of work.
I’ve had a string of bad luck missing home runs on video this weekend and OF Malakhi Knight (Marysville Getchell HS, WA) was one of them—a moonshot to left field.Impressive first inning from 2022 RHP J.R. Ritchie. 91-93 and late, sharp slider in the low 80s that got him 2 Ks. @PBR_Washington @ShooterHunt pic.twitter.com/xzms6ZQVfw

SS Cameron Cauley (Barbers Hill HS, TX) had two more hits today.Malakhi Knight hit an absolute tank to LF, 101 off the bat. Mason Guerra followed with an oppo taco. #mlbdraft @PBR_Washington @PBR_Oregon

Call me a fan of Cameron Cauley. Twitchy athlete. Couple more barrels from him today. Plus runner. #mlbdraft @PBR_Texas pic.twitter.com/r21P2URR8g

Yankees (2) vs. Brewers (5)
There was a lot of heat in this game with both starters running it up to 95. RHP Shane Panzini (Red Bank Catholic HS, NJ) was dominant to start before allowing four unearned runs on a grand slam by SS Max Muncy (Thousand Oaks HS, CA)—which I of course missed on video. Panzini finished with seven strikeouts.
RHP Evan Yates (Martin Luther King HS, CA) struck out seven in three innings as well.Shane Panzini is cruising, sitting 94-95 and mixing in a swing/miss slider. 6 Ks through 2 IP. #mlbdraft @PBRNewJersey pic.twitter.com/JAUgJVJ4zC

OF Nick McLain (Beckman HS, CA) was 1-for-2 with two runs scored.Quick first inning for RHP Evan Yates. Good extension, 90-91 is getting on hitters. Feel for running CH in low 80s. Struck out the side. #mlbdraft @PBR_California pic.twitter.com/ilteQ3lvQy

C Joe Mack (Williamsville East HS, NY) has done nothing but hit this summer and made more loud contact on Sunday.OK, if I'm able to post videos again, you're about get bombarded...let's start with Nick McLain showing some barrel control and going the other way for a double. #mlbdraft @PBR_California pic.twitter.com/a7i99uKme0

White Sox (3) vs. Athletics (3)
This game was filled with action, so enjoy...
C Carter Jensen was busy early in the Athletics/White Sox tilt. He hosed a couple runners and then took advantage of a charitable bounce off the backstop. #mlbdraft @PBRMissouri pic.twitter.com/omSNIK9SGe

Bishop and company got some revenge though. OF Daylen Lile, one of my favorite hitters in the class, started with a single. Bishop squared one up of his own. Colson Montgomery beat out an infield hit and Carter Jensen knocked in a couple with a double. #MLBDraft pic.twitter.com/LhwaFN3j3j

Can't forget Lonnie White's HR for the A's. Just a rocket to LC. 105 off the bat and 421 feet traveled. #MLBDraft #PBRBombSquad @pbrpennsylvania pic.twitter.com/4QiIHjegkj

Oh man, how could I forget...after Drew Gray went 100% fastball in his first inning (which was pretty good at 91-93), he started off the second with this hammer. 🔨👀 #PBRSpinZone #spinwins #mlbdraft @PBRIllinois pic.twitter.com/KWfMPnJkAS

Nationals (4) vs. Reds (4)
And in the nightcap, we saw OF Victor Rodriguez (Montverde Academy, FL) hit an opposite field home run before a small lightning delay.
In the final game of the day, OF Victor Rodriguez went oppo taco for the Nationals, 97 off the bat at 365 feet. #mlbdraft @PBRFlorida pic.twitter.com/WFwhFSjNBO

Last, but certainly not least, SS Chase Valentine plays with energy and shows plenty of athleticism in his game. He went to the oppo gap for a double and has shown some good defense all weekend. #mlbdraft @PBRArizona pic.twitter.com/i4K9vwGSC3
