Area Code Games: Monday Notebook
August 11, 2020
EMERSON, GA—The Area Code Games started Thursday at LakePoint and Friday featured the first games. Follow the action on social media and stay tuned for more coverage after the event. Here are some highlights from Monday’s action…
A lengthy weather delay hit the Area Code Games early Monday afternoon, which pushed the final two upperclass games (Nationals vs. White Sox, Rangers vs. Yankees) into the evening so they were played simultaneously. That made for a wild finish, as several big arms were still supposed to throw. They didn’t disappoint with their stuff, but several hitters made their presence known as well..
Opposite Little was RHP Irving Carter, who was 92-95 with an 82-84 CB and low- to mid-80s CH (a couple in this strikeout, plus a sweet double play turn by Termarr Johnson). #mlbdraft @PBRFlorida @PBRGeorgia pic.twitter.com/zULQJyaaGy
