With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Adena Warriors

Division: III
2018 Record: 18-10
Conference Record: Scioto Valley Conference, 10-4 (3rd)
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 8/9

2019 Team Strengths:

Coach Outlook: "The Warriors return 8 starters. This is a close knit group that will work hard to get better everyday. We will be tested early and often with a very challenging non-league schedule that includes Pickerington Central, Lebanon, Circleville, Wheelersburg, Minford, Jackson,  Hillsboro and Chillicothe along with a very solid conference schedule."

PBR Outlook: Coach Barr and the Warriors return a lot of experience and talent from an 18 win team. It looks as though the Warriors are challenging themselves in the non-league which should be very beneficial come tournament time. Look for Adena to be a team to watch in 2019 in D-III.

  • Brandon Wheeler, 2019, injured in 2018 but was projected to be one of our top arms. Should bring another solid starting pitcher to our rotation. Also a middle infielder & outfielder with great speed on the bases.
