34 Ex-Hoosier Preps Head to NCAA Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS – The road to Omaha and this year’s College World Series begins Friday, May 29, with 64 NCAA Division I teams in action at 16 regional sites.
A total of 34 former Indiana high school players are heading to the regionals. Indiana University leads the way with 14, followed by Notre Dame and Wright State with four apiece.
The rosters of Louisville and Ohio University both include three ex-Hoosier preps. Arkansas has two more, while Michigan, Morehead State, Vanderbilt and Coastal Carolina have one apiece.
Also, Florida Atlantic right-handed pitcher Robbie Coursel, a graduate of Northeast HS in St. Petersburg, Fla., lists his hometown as Michigan City, Ind.
