2026 Overall Rankings: Post-Fall Update
December 8, 2023
While the departure of highly touted prospect 3B Quentin Young (Oak Christian HS, CA; LSU commit), who re-classed into the ‘25 class, left a hole to fill in the top-10, this group of talented sophomores enjoys a large quantity of quality and remains just as exciting. The fall season provided even more looks for the Prep Baseball boots-on-the-ground staff as the perpetual promise of providing the most credible and up-to-date information in the amateur baseball space is always the goal.
Keon Johnson (PBT Fall Classic; 10/14/23)
The placated positioning left by Young led way to one spot bump for electric RHP Trey Rangel (The Colony HS, TX), but also saw ultra-talented SS Keon Johnson (First Presbyterian HS, GA) move to the top spot in the state and #7 overall. Johnson’s 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame is impressive, but there is still room for even more development which makes the present electricity of his tools that more enticing. The right-handed hitter turns the barrel at an impressive clip eliciting both hit and power promise while providing the upside of an impact, run-producing bat at higher levels.

IMPACT FALL CIRCUIT
As a trio of budding infield superstars maintain the Nos. 1-2-3 spots in Jacob Lombard (Gulliver Prep HS, FL), Alex Harrington (Cathedral Catholic HS, CA), and Grady Emerson (Argyle HS, TX), a full fall season allowed the list to grow to a top-400 board, with many seeing considerable jumps.
Below a look at five committed players who made an impact on the fall:
Judson Dowell OF / Houston Lamar, TX / 2026The Houston native and Texas A&M recruit showed out at the Prep Baseball Texas All-State event where his electric hand (24.9) and bat (81.8) speed jumped of the page along with a 91 mph arm from the outfield and 6.78-speed. An impressive athlete with a lean, projectable, 6-foot-, 185-pound frame there is plenty of power potential from the right side with strong ground force, and his hard-nosed play is sure to garner professional interest in coming years.
