2023 PBR Canada Player of the Year
June 16, 2023
The PBR Canada staff is excited to announce 2023 3B Myles Naylor (Ontario Blue Jays) as this years PBR Canada Player of the Year.
Naylor is a strong right-handed hitter out of the Ontario Blue Jays program and has been one of the most exciting prospects in the country over the past several years. He's been a mainstay on the Canadian Junior National team since the Fall of 2020 and has been one of the top producers offensively during that time.
Have a day, Myles Naylor (@MylesNaylor22). Finds the barrel here for his 3rd hit of the day against the Dodgers.

Has looked more aggressive in the box this morning and has taken advantage of some good pitches to hit.

The Texas Tech commit is the top-ranked senior in the country and it's the impact in his bat, along with the projection, that also has him tabbed to be the first Canadian high schooler off the board in the draft next July. He's shown the ability over the past two years to square up pro-level pitching and has arm strength and actions that should allow him to stick at third further down the road.
Below, we break down everything you need to know about Myles Naylor, this years PBR Canada Player of the Year.

Scouting Report
‘23 3B Myles Naylor (Texas Tech commit) had himself another impressive day at the dish last Saturday. Batting in the three-hole, Naylor came out of the gate swinging, picking up a triple in the top of the first. Displayed patience and discipline, picking up a pair of walks, with good pitch recognition and ability to pick up spin on the day. On the defensive end it’s the arm strength that stands out immediately and it was a clean day at the hot corner for Canada’s top draft-eligible prospect.
Once again, Naylor has been the main attraction at the dish in Kamloops, Naylor broke out in a big way against the Langley Blaze making loud contact collecting two hits, including a rifled ground ball past the second basemen that made it to the wall in RCF. He didn’t get cheated at the plate, taking some violent hacks on pitches he just missed, as well. Naylor was the biggest draft eligible name at the Best of the West and he has performed well so far.
‘23 3B Myles Naylor (Texas Tech) put together the best day at the dish we’ve seen this week from any player. His first AB he came through on the first pitch for a screaming double the other way and he followed it up with another opposite field double in his second at-bat, this one a flyball that landed on the warning track. Had the hit tool and strength on display today. After a quiet first two days on our trip, Naylor broke out on Tuesday and showed what he’s capable of at the dish.
