With the summer coming to an end, we here at PBR Florida want to continue to cover high school baseball as we do all year long. With that being said, we want to continue to update and expand our player rankings with the top prospects that catch our eye. Last week, we updated our Class of 2020 rankings. To view that story, CLICK HERE. This week, we give you our updated and expanded Class of 2022 rankings featuring 167 total prospects.

Coming in at #1 is Miami commit, OF Elijah Green (TNXL Academy). Green has proven himself to be one of the best raw hitters in the country. With his 6-foot-2, 205 pound frame and physical tools, Green has the makings to be one of the best players in this class when it's all said and done.

At #2 is the top LHP in the 2022 class, Brandon Barriera (Westminster Academy). Barriera is a recent Vanderbilt commit with a ton of projectability. He is up to 91 mph from the left side and continues to dominate on the mound as he did at the PBR Florida State Games. Another big name to watch in the 2022 class.

#3 in our rankings is another Vanderbilt commit, this time it is 3B Sal Stewart (Westminster Christian). Stewart is a physical third baseman at 6-foot-2, 195 pound who has shown the ability to make an impact on both sides of the ball. Stewart is the top corner infield in the Florida 2022 class. At #4 is Florida State commit, OF Jordan Taylor (St. John's Country Day). Taylor is an athletic 6-foot-2, 175 pound outfielder. He was a standout at Preseason All-State and has a very high ceiling. Rounding out our top 5 is Clemson commit, SS Colby Shelton (Bloomingdale). Shelton is the top middle infielder in the Florida 2022 class. He has a high offensive ceiling and showed that off this summer at the PBR Florida State Games.
