2021 Sophomore State Games: East Preview

The 2021 Sophomore State Games are set to begin this weekend at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. Plenty of highly touted uncommitted and committed prospects across the Sunshine State from the 2024 class will take the diamond in Daytona.
The event is broken down into 4 regions, North, South, East, and West, with the winning region able to choose their own Mizuno glove or wood bat. Take a look at the roster HERE.
Today, we will continue to preview each team at the 2021 Sophomore State Games. Check out this year's East squad.
East Region
The East features a talented team at all positions. On the mound, the East features right-handers Robert Mitchell, Dillon Smalley, and Carson Homitz. Catching for the East is Jesuel Cruz, Yvan Douglas, and Jake Eisert.
In the infield, the East features Brady Roberts at first and Jackson Adams and Kendall Hoffman at third. Up the middle, the East features FSU commit Austin Jacobs, Tanner Swank, Daniel Herrera, Alex Espaillat, Keenan Jabeth, and Beny Bikar.
Rounding out the East in the outfield is AJ Sierra, Kaiden Lopez, Evan Miller, and Gavin Gonzalez. The East is primed to compete this weekend and could very well win the event.
