2019 UIL Team Preview - Holland
February 12, 2019
The Texas high school season kicks off on February 21, the first day for regular season games. Most teams will begin practicing on January 25, getting their rosters set and finalizing their lineups.
Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we will be rolling out team previews of high school teams all across the state and across all classifications, eventually launching our Preseason Power 25.
We have been sending out our annual Preseason Questionnaire to coaches all across the state and as the responses flood in we will bring you a snapshot of what to expect along with top players and keys to success for that particular team. If you don’t see your team’s season preview make sure your head coach fills out his Preseason Questionnaire.

SEASON PREVIEW
HOLLAND – A good spread of talent across the classes, Holland looks to make a return to the playoffs in 2019.
Coach Kruger has a majority of his players back from last season, in which his team took second place in their conference and made it to the second round of playoffs. Seniors Elijah Botts (catcher) and Bryce Bowling (OF), along with juniors Zane Spinn (SS/RHP), Tommy Strickland (3B), and Heath Hutka (OF) look to be in good position to build off last spring. Sophomore Aston Morris (RHP/OF) should also be a big piece of the 2019 squad.
