With the NCAA's early signing period wrapped up, we take a look at the 2019 high school recruiting classes for each D1 school in Indiana with in-state recruits. Here, we look at Evansville's class:
Total Commits: 10
Total In-State Commits: 1
Top 50 Players (IN): 1
"I am excited to announce our 2019 recruiting class. The pitchers added to our roster for next year all have a chance to make immediate impacts. Coach Gaura has created a vision and plan for his pitching staff. This class of pitchers is the start of something special here at UE under his guidance. Our class of position players fits our style offensively, but most important defensively. Coach Mahon did a great job of identifying the student athletes that were needed to fit our needs. We have added much needed speed and versatility to our roster with these additions. I look forward to these young men to get on campus next fall." - Wes Carroll (Head Coach, University of Evansville)
In-state recruit Jakob Meyer (Columbus North HS) is a big get for the Aces next fall. Meyer had a very impressive fall campaign for Team Indiana. The 6-foot-3, 205 pound RHP runs his fastball up to 87 for a strike, with more in the tank. The separator for Meyer his breaking ball, a swing and miss pitch, that he can throw in any count for a strike.
