2018 Ranking Breakdown: RHP

After a busy winter we have released updated 2018 rankings. As the week moves forward we will look at the top players at each position. Today we take a look at the reports on the right-handed pitchers in the 2018 class.
Connor Noland, RHP, Greenwood HS
Noland is a 6-foot-2 185 right-hander with a large frame and an athletic build. He uses a simple delivery with consistent rhythm. He commands his fastball 86-88 mph flashing 90 mph. He compliments his fastball with a sharp 11/5 curveball with late break and solid depth. He has a feel for his changeup but throws it on a limited basis. He pitches from H 3/4 arm slot with a quick arm, with a high elbow. Overall Noland is an advanced pitcher with a quick arm, a feel for three pitches and a high level competitor.
Noland is the No. 1 player in the 2018 class and is ranked 75th nationally the 31st ranked right-hander. He is committed to Arkansas.
Jaden Hill, RHP, Ashdown HS
Hill is a 6-foot-4 195-pound right-hander with a large frame and physical build. He pitches from a H ¾ arm slot with a quick clean arm. He has a repeatable delivery with a distinct balance point. He finishes tall and online to home plate. He commands his fastball 88-90 mph touching as high as 92 mph. He compliments the fastball with a slider 76-79 mph with sharp 10/4 action. Overall Hill is a big physical athlete with a quick arm and a feel for a solid slider.
Hill is the No.3 player in the 2018 class and is ranked 84th nationally the 35th ranked right-hander. He is committed to LSU.
Wade Beasley, RHP, Horatio HS
Beasley is a 6-foot-2 200-pound right-hander with a large frame and build. He pitches from an H ¾ arm slot with fast arm, with some shoulder stiffness. He uses a deliberate delivery that he repeats consistently. His fastball works 88-91 and has shown the ability to get up to 92 mph. He has wild but effective command of his fastball. He compliments his fastball with a slider and changeup that he has shown a feel for, but lacks consistent command. Overall Beasley is a physical player with raw arm strength.
Beasley is the No.5 player in the 2018 class and is ranked 92nd nationally the 39th right-hander. He is committed to Arkansas.
Connor McCullough, RHP, Maumelle HS
McCullough is a 6-foot 160-pound right-hander with a slight frame and a thin build. He pitches 83-86 mph working as high as 87 mph with his fastball. He compliments his fastball with a change up and curveball. His changeup is thrown 76-77 mph with fade action. The curveball works 71-73 mph with sharp 10/4 break. He uses a ¾ arm slot with arm slot with a quick arm. He uses a simple delivery with a hesitation at his balance point. Overall McCullough has a quick arm with a feel for both secondary pitches.
McCullough is the No. 7 player in the 2018 class and is ranked 262 nationally and 102nd right-hander.
Miller Pleimann, RHP, Fayetteville HS
Pleimann is a 6-foot-4 170-pounf right-hander with a lanky build and a large frame. He pitches from a H ¾ arm slot with a quick arm. He uses a simple delivery which he repeats consistently. He shows the ability to locate three pitches for a strike. His fastball works 86-88 mph with late life through the strike zone. His curveball works 74-76 mph with 11/5 shape and late action. He throws his changeup with fastball arm speed and locates it at the bottom half of the strike zone consistently. Overall Pleimann is a player that projects to high ceiling with his large frame and clean arm action. He has advanced pitchability.
Pleimann is the No. 8 player in the 2018 class, he is currently uncommitted but is a hot name of late, as he has developed into one of the state’s top prospects, making a jump this fall and winter.
