2018 Florida Underclass Games Spotlight: 2022 C Riley Parker

On June 23rd, 2018 at Henley Field in Lakeland, FL, the top underclass high school prospects ranging from the 2020-2022 classes will participate in the Florida Underclass Games which is the premier scouting event for the 2018 summer season. Leading up to the event we will highlight each upcoming participant through their own individual spotlight which includes video, reports, and more. Scouting Report
08/20/17- Stands at 5-foot-11, 175 pounds with a strong, athletic build. At the plate starts from an open stance with a quick bat through the zone. Strong hands and wrists. Creates hard contact and displayed the ability to drive the ball into the outfield with gap-to-gap potential. Behind the plate shows the ability to receive the ball well along with his throws topping out at 68 mph to second. Pop times ranged in the 2.15-2.22 second range. Young player who has a good understanding of the game and whose overall game will continue to improve as he matures.
4/1/17- Parker is in seventh grade and there is going to be a ton of room for growth. He hits from the right side with an open stance. He is aggressive through the zone and creates present bat speed creating an exit velocity of 75 mph. From the outfield, he comes through the ball well and shows impressive arm strength topping out at 75 mph. Behind the plate, he shows sound hands and moved and blocked well. He has a clean transfer with pop times ranging from 2.15-2.25.
