With the 2017 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.
Starting in Mid-January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2017 Spring Team Preview: Solon Comets
Team Name: Solon
Head Coach: Damien Kopkas
Division: I
2016 Record: 25-5
Conference Record: Greater Cleveland Conference, 11-2
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/4
2017 Team Strengths:
- Leadership
- Top of the starting rotation
- Love of the game
- On-base percentage
2017 Team Weaknesses:
- Experience at some positions
- Hitting for power
- Depth on the mound
Coach Outlook: "Twelve seniors need to be replaced due to graduation, but a great core of players remain. We will be looking to fill some of the holes in the lineup with last year's successful JV program, but our success hinges on how quickly we can find team unity and consistency with so much turnover on the roster."
PBR Outlook: Look for the Comets of Solon to reload with some talented youth, who will be looked on to replace 12 seniors you graduated from last years 25-5 squad. The talent is there, lookout for the Comets come tournament time when the youth has some seasoning.
