With the 2017 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.
Starting in Mid-January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2017 Spring Team Preview: Centerville Elks
Team Name: Centerville Elks
Head Coach: Jason Whited
Division: I
2015 Record: 18-10
Conference Record: Greater Western Ohio Conference, 8-2, Tied 1st place
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/2
2017 Team Strengths:
- OF depth
- Top of out pitching rotation
- Middle Infield play
- Young talented underclassmen
2017 Team Weaknesses:
- Pitching depth
- A few unknown competing for key positions
- Lost several key contributors and main run producers
Coach Outlook: "We expect to be able to compete again for our league title and have aspirations to find a way to build during season and make a tourney run. We bring back two solid arms and a lot of depth at important positions. Our biggest question however will be pitching depth and middle of the lineup type hitters."
PBR Outlook: After a solid 18-10 season, coach Whited and the Elks look to carry that momentum into the 2017 spring season. A 1-2 punch on the mound will keep Centerville competitive in every contest. Look for them come tournament time with those two arms.
