2017 Prospects Help Their Stock In Jupiter

By Justin Burgess
Florida Area Scout

October has quickly gone by and now some of the year’s most heavily scouted events are officially in the books. Last week, we mostly focused on the 2016 class and what prospects helped their draft stock in Jupiter and at the Florida Diamond Club, and what uncommitted players stood out at those same events.

This week will be focused on underclassmen that separated themselves from the rest of the pack. Even though all four of the players are already committed, their tools and performance against quality competition will help their stock with professional scouts when they start to bear down on them next summer and fall. Here are the young men who stood out in the 2017 class in Jupiter:

Tyler Ahearn, RHP, Dwyer HS, FL
The Florida State commit stands at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds with a lean, athletic and projectable frame. He showed a clean delivery that he repeated and a loose and easy arm action. He sat 87-90 mph and touched 91 and filled up the zone with a quality curveball. Ahearn proved that he is one of the top 2017 arms in Florida heading into the spring season.
