2017 Massachusetts SPRING TEAM PREVIEW: Milton Academy
Team Name: Milton Academy
Head Coach: Mark Petherick
Division: Private
2016 Record: 14-4
Conference Record: 11-4
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6/2
2017 Team Strengths:
- Leadership
- Defense
- # 1 Pitcher
2017 Team Weaknesses:
- Pitching Depth behind #1 arm
- Run Production
Coach Outlook: "We have a solid core of players returning with RHP Matt Tabor (Elon commit), IF Isaac Fossas (Brandeis), and Buddy Mrowka (Harvard). Our younger guys seem poised to take the next step and provide some depth. It will come down to whoever solidifies the number two pitcher spot behind Matt. We need to play solid defense and have some timely hitting in order to see success again. "
PBR Outlook: A core group of players who should make a run at the title. Matt Tabor and Steven Walker could be a legit 1-2 punch on the mound if Walker can progress on the bump. Fossas, Mrowka, Cervone, Steven Walker and Liam Kennedy all provide pop in the lineup. Should be a very competitive group.
