With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR New England is eagerly anticipating bringing the New England states the best high school coverage throughout the region.
Starting in Late-January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2017 Massachusetts Spring Team Preview: Milton HS
Team Name: Milton HS
Head Coach: Jim Moonna
Division: Public
2016 Record: 9-11
Conference Record: 6-8
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6/1
2017 Team Strengths:
- Starting Pitching
- Defense
2017 Team Weaknesses:
- Offense
Coach Outlook: "We will be led by Sam Jacobsak, class of 2017 RHP, Northeastern commit and 2017 RHP Andrew Steele, John Carroll commit"
PBR Outlook: Looks as if Milton will be strong on the bump and in need of finding its way offensively. They have arms and a solid catcher. Need to continue to improve as the season progresses.
Top Returning Players:
- Sam Jacobsak, captain, RHP, 4 year starter. Fastball 87-90 MPH, very good curveball and slider. Northeastern commit. 0.85 ERA last year, 40 IP, 60 K.
- Max Walker, C, class of 2018, junior captain, first year starter. Excellent defensive catcher, official 1.9 pop time, uncommitted, recruited by D1 schools.
