2017 OUTLOOK
"After back-to-back state tournament berths, the Dutch will be looking to return to Principal Park again this summer. There is plenty of experience returning from last year (several upperclassmen have started on the varsity since their freshmen season), and while there are few holes to fill, there are some talented young players ready to take over those positions. The lineup is filled with a good mix of speed, athleticism, and power, and is deep enough to give opposing pitchers problems at any spot in the lineup. The Dutch will need to fill 2 of the 3 conference rotation spots, but have 4 returning pitchers with 10+ IP from last year’s squad to battle for those spots. They will compete for another conference title in a very tough Little Hawkeye Conference, and will battle for a high seed in the playoffs." Head Coach Jesse Jablonski
