The 2015 high school season is just around the corner.  Leading up to the start of the season we are going to take a quick glance at many teams from across the state.

OUTLOOK

Head Coach Nick Sale brings back an experienced Comets team this spring.  A total of nine seniors return including Matt Simmerman, a Southeastern CC signee, and Caleb Aaron, an Owens CC signee. Simmerman returns after hitting a blistering .478 with 3 HR, 13 RBI and an OBP of .604 last year as a Junior.  Aaron returns to the Comets after finishing his Junior campaign with a 2-3 record and 4.50 ERA. Other seniors expected to contribute this season are Ty Catt (.286 BA, .355 OBP in 2014), Taylor Tattersall (.270 BA, .340 OBP, 1 HR, 21 RBI in 2014) and Kerrigan Forgrave who is coming back from being injured.  Juniors expected to make an impact are Blaine Dahl (.309 BA, .400 OBP, 13 RBI in 2014) and Jake Hartman (18 IP, 4.00 ERA in 2014).  With eight returning starters and their top five pitchers returning, Eastern should compete for a sectional crown this spring.
