The 2015 high school season is just around the corner.  Leading up to the start of the season we are going to take a quick glance at many teams from across the state.

OUTLOOK

Head Coach Andy Gossel brings back an experienced team in 2015 with seven starters and four pitchers returning.  Senior LHP/1B Evan Jackman, a UIndy commit, returns to the Warriors after hitting .329 with 22 RBI last year as a Junior.  On the mound Jackman was 3-3 with a 4.31 ERA and 51 Ks. Senior A.J. Taylor will also be a big contributor this spring.  Taylor, a Wabash commit, hit .259 in 2014 with 9 RBI and 19 runs.  Other seniors the Warriors will count on is Peter Gregg (.354 BA, 12 RBI in 2014) and Ethan Law (Manchester commit).  Junior Eric Murphy will also be a main contributor in 2015.  Murphy finished last spring hitting .295 with 27 runs and 8 RBI while going 2-1 on the mound with 23 Ks.  Gossel is expecting big things this year: "We have enough talent to compete for a regional title.  We graduated a core of our pitching staff from last year, but depending on how young guys fill those spots, we can be very competitive."
