As we prepare for our 2014 high school preseason coverage, we are going to take a quick glance at teams from across the state.

2013 Conference Record: 3-11
Returning Starters: 6
Returning Pitchers: 8

TOP PLAYERS:

Adam Asadorian, OF, 2014 ... All-County Honorable Mention a season ago.
Anthony Savarino, SS/RHP, 2015 ... Had 5 doubles as a sophomore.
Matt Albright, OF/RHP, 2014 ... 3-year letterman.
Tim May, C, 2015 ... .260 average as a sophomore. Threw out 40% of baserunners on the season.
David Hennessey, RHP, 2015 ... 3-3 as a sophomore with a 3.93 ERA.
Ryan Hanna, 2B, 2015 ... Hit .244 a season ago and finished with a .924 fielding position.

YOUNG UP AND COMERS:
Colin Romel, LHP/1B, 2017 ... Throws in the low 80s and may pitch on varsity.

OUTLOOK:

The situation with having 18 sophomores is an interesting dilemma. Olmsted Falls also has 16 returning varsity players in grades 11-12. The program has been rebuilding for the past few years but with so many promising young players Olmsted Falls may turn things around soon. As for this year, it may be a bit of a struggle. There are a large number of returners, but they may still be a year away. Olmsted Falls will compete and should be right there in conference this season, but either way the future looks to be even brighter.
