As we prepare for our 2014 high school preseason coverage, we are going to take a quick glance at teams from across the state.

OUTLOOK:

The Centerville High School Bulldogs and Head Coach Tracey Crull return six starters and five pitchers in this spring.  The Bulldogs finished four games above .500 last season and were 5-2 in conference play. The 2014 Bulldogs are loaded with right-handed arms.  6-foot-1, 175 pound Eli Callahan pitched 43.3 innings last year and led the team with a 6-1 record on the mound.  Callahan finished the season with a 3.00 ERA and 40 strikeouts.  RHP Tyler Weaver returns for his senior year with Centerville.  Weaver's fastball gets up to the low 80's.  Junior RHP/1B Sam Shaw led the Bulldogs in 2013 with a .441 BA, 5 HR and 32 RBI. Other players Coach Crull expects to contribute include; 2016 Jack Willis (RHP/2B), 2016 Justyn North (RHP/C) and senior outfielder Cody Weiss. Centerville should contend for a conference and sectional championship this spring.
