Offensively: RHH - Wider, balanced stance with the knees facing inward as the hands operated in rhythm. Utilized a leg-kick stride to initiate the bat-head through a flat, direct path into the hitting zone. Turned the upper half across the body at times in the movement, but still kept extension and direction for a balanced approach to both gaps. Recorded a T84 mph bat-exit velocity with good contact in-game action, en route to doubles power on occasion (288 foot batted ball via Trackman). Always on-time at the front of the plate and attacked FB’s early in counts.
Defensively: The primary outfielder stayed behind the ball with quick reads and attacking pace. Fielded off his right hip with downhill momentum over the toes and a clean-phasing release from a H ¾ slot (fluid arm circle, accurate, 82 mph arm). Can slot into a centerfield role down the line with advanced feel.
Pitching: LHP - Begins from the stretch-only off the center of the rubber. Utilized a moderate leg-lift with hip-coil at the stack, gaining moderate depth on the backside into a smooth ¾ slot at release. Created good timing starting with the hand-break, and repeated well during his outing. The FB landed from 77-79, T82 mph with hard arm-side run, mixing a short sweeping 67-69 mph CB. Dropped in a comfortable lower 70’s CH that tunnelled well off the FB.
