Scouting Report

Bat Speed: Bat speed, which is essentially the speed of the bat at the moment of impact, is often a strong indicator of a player’s “Raw Power”. Christian is atop the ranks in this category with an average of 73.9 mph and a peak of 81.4 mph over 2 events in '24, that is well above average (MLB Average is 71.6 MPH ). The bat speed translated to a couple of impressive rounds of BP with a 100.2 mph peak exit velo, average of 94.3 and a peak distance of 378 feet in live arm BP.
Rotational Acceleration: This is where we see how efficiently he can use his power at the next level by measuring how fast he can accelerate from launch position into his bat speed. Christian registered advanced numbers here as well with an average of 21.4g's, and a peak of 27g's (MLB avg. 16.8g's). Christians advanced quickness into the zone will allow him to track the ball longer and make later decisions giving him an advantage against high velocity / high spin fastballs and late breaking off speed pitches at the next level.
On Plane Efficiency %: This measures the percentage of your swing where the barrel is on the swing plane. According to the extensive Blast data 70% or higher is the magic number that correlates to consistent, quality contact. Christain is above that ideal number averaging 70% with a max of 79% in 2024. With the advanced bat speed and rotational acceleration to go with an accurate barrel, Christian is equipped to do damage and hit for average & power.
