The summer schedule of PBR events in Pennsylvania concluded this past week with the 2016 Western PA College Prospect Showcase on August 18. Nearly 50 prospects from four states gathered to showcase their abilities at the Iron Horse Sports Complex in Windber, PA. Today we begin our analysis of the prospects in attendance by taking a look at the lone prospect that participated in the Class of 2020.
- FINAL MEASURABLES for all prospects in attendance
CLASS OF 202O
Bryce Behmer, C/1B, Lancaster Catholic HS
6-foot, 175-pounder has yet to step on a high school campus, but definitely looked the part of an upperclassman with a solid frame. Defensivley the rising freshman displayed solid arm strength (72 mph) and pop times of 2.20-2.28 from the crouch. The right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and utilizes a leg-lift stride to initiate his swing. Behmer flashed a solid feel for the barrel in batting practice with a 78 mph exit velocity. A solid all-around skill set with a frame that should continue to develop through maturity makes Behmer a prospect to watch in the class of 2020.
