The high school baseball practice season officially kicks off today for PIAA schools in Pennsylvania. In honor of the long awaited start to the season we are rolling out our updated Class of 2013 player rankings.
There has been very little movement among the top ten positions in the rankings with RHP A.J. Bogucki still holding down the top position. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Boyertown HS prospect had a banner summer highlighted by an appearance in the Under Armour All-American Game at Wrigley Field. The North Carolina recruit pitched a scoreless inning against some of the nation's best on national television.
New to the top ten at No. 6 is 1B Nick Yarnall from Hempfield HS. The 6-foot, 195-pound left-handed hitter runs a 6.95 60-yard dash and is one of the top offensive performers in the state. The Pitt recruit hit .446 in 2012 with five home runs and 27 RBI.
All told, 48 of the top 50 prospects in the class of 2013 have made their college commitments. CLICK HERE to view the complete rankings.
