Khalil Coles is a 6-foot-3, 180-pound RHP from Ben Franklin HS in Philadelphia's Public School League. While players in this league often fly under the radar on the recruiting scene, Coles deserves his fair share of visits this spring.
Coles has an athletic frame and sits mid-80's with his fastball that shows late life and arm-side run. His out pitch is a split finger that shows good movement. Coles has been working to develop consistency and command of the pitch. He went 7-1 as a sophomore in 2011 and followed that up by being named Division C MVP at the conclusion of his junior season.
Coles participated in last year's Carpenter Cup and was then selected to represent Pennsylvania in the first annual Big 26 Classic against Maryland.
