November 8, 2022 Nathan Ocker Director of Eastern PA
Scouting Report
6/14/22
Physical: Tall, uber-projectable 6-foot-5, 200lb frame with sneaky athleticism throughout.
Pitching: RHP. Begins from the left corner of the rubber; short rocker-step into a tempoed stack position before breaking over the mound and accelerating down the slope. Lower release-height combined with big extension makes for a jumpy FB in the 83-85 mph range (2490, 4.8 feet). Feel to spin on the breaker at 68-69 mph with two-plane shape and added a killed, fading 72-76 mph CH (1679) to round out the arsenal.
2/19/22
Physical: 6-foot-5, 200 pounds; Long, broad shouldered build. 7.6 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet narrow; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Short take back with the hands with a toe-tap for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a compact swing path with a late one hand finish. More line drives than fly balls and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 91 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while showing active feet. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a high/over the top arm slot. INF - 84 MPH. Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Mid chest leg drive with shoulders above the hips. Has a long stride while landing slightly closed. Long arm swing while showing effortless and fluid actions; low 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 82 MPH, while sitting 79-81 MPH; arm side run with sink. CB: 66-67 MPH; sweeping lateral action. CH: 74-75 MPH; maintains same plain.
