Scouting Report
Physical: Large / compact 5-foot-10, 170-pound frame with strength in the lower half. 7.40 runner in the 60-yard dash. Offensively: RHH. Balanced, wide stance with a minor bend in the knees as the hands started flat above the shoulder with slight hip coil. Utilized a controlled leg lift stride with maturity in the pre-swing phase, was consistently on time at the front of the plate as the hands worked through a fluid, slightly uphill path and through extension. Generated high level bat to ball skills while turning the bat head around early in the swing, continuously kept the upper and lower half connected with impressive swing mechanics. Recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 93 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball / 47% line drive rate and a 27% hard hit percentage. Defensively: The primary outfielder demonstrated active footwork with noticeable first step quickness, medium-low center of gravity with a soft glove hand playing out in front off of his left side, got aggressively downhill with the momentum allowing for an accurate, high ¾ slot with length and quickness in the takeaway. OF - 88 mph Pitching: RHP - Started from the left side of the rubber from an up tempo, compact delivery, side rocker step into a medium leg lift, above average backside leg drive directionally towards the plate while landing athletically in a good postured position, high ¾ slot with fluidity at release. FB ranged from 82-84 T85 mph with heaviness into the zone, lived down with a 33.3% zone rate per Trackman Baseball, mixed in a developing 69-70 mph SL with short and late horizontal break to it, countered with a low spin 74-76 mph CH with good deception out of the hand.
