Scouting Report
Delivered a standout day while putting himself on the map as an interesting two-way follow in the 2021 class. Showcased a physical 6-foot, 180-pound frame with noticeable strength and advanced athleticism in his actions. The right-handed hitter begins with a wide, balanced stance utilizing a controlled leg-lift to initiate a slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone. Generated advanced hip drive with fluidity in the lower half allowing for barrel whip and natural pull-side lift during batting practice. Recorded an impressive 88 mph bat-exit velocity with feel for his hands. Ran a 6.78 60-yard dash showing off the explosiveness he possesses. The primary shortstop displayed adequate footwork arriving to the baseball on time creating downhill momentum with regularity on the glove side. Played with a low center of gravity and soft glove hand out in front yielding smooth transfers and accurate 87 mph arm-strength with carry across the diamond out of a quick, high ¾ arm-slot. The right-handed pitcher might have one-upped his earlier performance sitting 86-89 mph out of a fluid high ¾ arm-slot with downhill action on the fastball. Displayed slight hip coil in the setup with repeatability in the delivery mixing in a 67-69 mph curveball that showed 11/5 shape and featured late depth. Countered with quality feel for a 72-74 mph changeup flashing occasional arm-side fade.
